Summertime is reading time!  We welcome all SHPL families to join in the fun by participating in the reading program this summer.  All members from age 2 to 5 year olds, who are not entering Kindergarten in the fall, will read any 8 books chosen from the Children's Library.  Everyone will earn prizes for each book they report and those who complete the club will receive a certificate and a free paperback book.  You can report up to 3 books a day.  You may substitute one book on disc for one of the 8 books.  The last day to record books is Saturday, August 17th.

If you are entering grades 6-12 in September, join our club for a chance to earn prizes, raffle tickets, and a ticket to a Pizza Party on August 22nd.  Reporting ends on Saturday, August 17th.

The Adult Summer Reading Program is open to all adult (18+) South Huntington Public Library Cardholders.  Read or listen to any number of books of your choice.  The more you read the better your chances of winning.

For every book completed during the program period you will receive a raffle ticket towards our many prizes. Every week we will raffle off a bag filled with new books.  The final prizes will be beautiful baskets filled with goodies and for the grand prize, the lucky winner will receive an Apple iPad and a basket.  Join the fun!!
